During the playoff stages of the Global T20 Canada, the Surrey Jaguars secured a commanding 38-run victory over the Vancouver Knights in Qualifier 1, earning their spot in the final. Their win was powered by remarkable bowling displays from Junaid Siddique (4/22), Ruben Trumpelmann (2/26), and Karthik Meiyappan (2/24).

In the second match of the day, the Montreal Tigers asserted dominance over the Brampton Wolves, clinching a 9-wicket victory with 34 balls to spare in the Eliminator, with Chris Lynn leading the charge. With these results, the Surrey Jaguars advanced to the final, while the Vancouver Knights faced off against the Brampton Wolves for a chance to join them.

The Jaguars, after being asked to set a target, saw Mohammad Haris (20) and Jatinder Singh (15) making starts but failing to capitalize. Despite contributions from Skipper Iftikhar Ahmed (36) and Ayaan Khan (29), the team struggled to accelerate, managing 139/9. In response, the Knights faltered early and were bundled out for 101, with Siddique’s stellar bowling leading the way.

Meanwhile, the Wolves’ innings collapsed against the Tigers, ending at 104/10, thanks to Matthew Forde’s devastating bowling (4/16). In reply, the Tigers chased down the target swiftly, with Lynn’s unbeaten 63 guiding them to victory.

Saturday’s matches would witness the Vancouver Knights battling the Montreal Tigers for a place in the finals, where they would meet the Surrey Jaguars on Sunday.
